Amidst the upheaval of the pandemic, a young family sought to turn a neglected space above their country house garage into guest quarters ready for visitors. Studio Dorion designed the space in keeping with the main house’s colorful palette and charming character. Elements of traditional New England decorating were incorporated: splatter-painted floors, boarded walls, and block-printed wallpapers. The design balances style and functionality, accommodating quarantine living, family activities, and visiting guests with equal ease.
