The minute Peter stepped foot into this empty apartment, he knew it would suit as both a comfortable place to live and an inspiring backdrop for design experimentation. The brick walls, ebony-stained floors, and contemporary cabinetry served as a dynamic backdrop for furnishings ranging from George III armchairs to a Donald Judd inspired daybed made from recycled plywood. The combination of elements, and the effort to attain an elegant simplicity, resulted in a dynamic tension—the successful outcome of any design experiment.
