Junior Architectural Designer

Overview

Studio Dorion is seeking a Junior Architectural Designer to join our growing team. For this position, we are looking for a highly-motivated and organized individual to work alongside our team on design projects throughout the country. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on implementing organizational processes and systems, manages concurrent projects, and successfully works independently and collaboratively. You will have the opportunity to be a part of all facets of design projects, and grow alongside and within our company.

What you'll do

  • Support Senior Architectural Designer in all aspects of project related responsibilities

  • Draft AutoCAD drawings for architectural sets, construction details, furniture plans,  and custom furniture

  • Assist in developing presentation drawings and organizing materials for client meetings

  • Develop and manage project schedules such as plumbing, equipment, hardware, lighting, and finishes

  • Conduct research and source for project related needs

  • Communicate with vendors, contractors, external consultants, and team members to assist in managing projects

  • Curate, coordinate, and manage the architectural sample library

  • Assist in pricing inquiries and project budget tracking

  • Assist in managing, coordinating, and organizing project information and purchases in Studio Designer

Who you are

  • Has 1-2 years of full-time experience at an interior design or architecture firm

  • Passionate about representing ideas through drawings

  • Exceptional communicator

  • Eager to move project tasks forward, loves to pick up the phone to solve a problem 

  • Proactive and a solution-based self-starter

  • Knows how to use Studio Designer, AutoCAD, Google Suite, and Adobe Suite

  • Understanding of Rhino & Vray preferred

  • Has a valid US drivers license

  • Is able to work in the US without sponsorship

  • Invested in working with Studio Dorion

Salary

$55,000-$65,000

Commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additional benefits and professional development opportunities provided.
