Architectural Design Intern
Overview
Studio Dorion is seeking a Junior Architectural Design Intern to join our growing team for Spring / Summer 2026. For this position, we are looking for a highly-motivated and organized individual to work alongside our architectural team on design projects throughout the country. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on drafting AutoCAD drawings, managing concurrent projects, and successfully works independently and collaboratively.
What you'll do
Draft AutoCAD drawings for architectural sets, construction details, furniture plans, and custom furniture
Support Senior Architectural Designer in aspects of project related responsibilities
Assist in developing presentation drawings and organizing materials for client meetings
Develop and manage project schedules such as plumbing, equipment, hardware, lighting, and finishes
Conduct research and source for project related needs
Communicate with vendors, contractors, external consultants, and team members to assist in managing projects
Curate, coordinate, and manage the architectural sample library
Assist in managing, coordinating, and organizing project information and purchases in Studio Designer
Who you are
Ideally enrolled, or recently graduated from, an architectural or interior design degree program
Ideally has prior experience working at an interior design or architecture firm
Available to work 3-5 days per week in the Manhattan office
Passionate about representing ideas through drawings
Exceptional communicator
Eager to move project tasks forward, loves to pick up the phone to solve a problem
Proactive and a solution-based self-starter
Knows how to use AutoCAD, Google Suite, Studio Designer and Adobe Suite
Understanding of Rhino & Vray preferred
Ideally has a valid US drivers license
Is able to work in the US without sponsorship

Salary
$25 per hour
